Photovoltaic Panels
FRA Group has embraced the green company philosophy by starting the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roofs of its factories, in order to integrate electricity supplies with 30% of its own production.
The company has currently started the installation of photovoltaic panels on the Dusino 2 plant, for a total of 833 modules installed and, by the end of 2025, it plans to start installation activities also on the Dusino 1 and Dusino 3 plants.
Thanks to the installation of photovoltaics, the Group has reduced energy consumption, the greenhouse gas emissions and, in the long term, will allow for considerable economic savings.
Lightning, heating and air conditioning
The efficient management of the lighting, heating and air conditioning systems has guaranteed the company high energy savings.
Lighting: Intelligent multi-sockets have been installed in the common areas, such as the canteen, open space, services, which, thanks to an internal timer, switch off automatically.
Heating and air conditioning : – the company policy provides for:
- Periodic maintenance of the systems in order to improve performance
- Regular cleaning of filters to avoid high overload and energy consumption
- Prevention of energy dispersion during plant operation, by closing windows and doors for a correct thermal insulation of the premises
- Choice of machinery and new equipment with high efficiency and energy saving technology
Company Car Policy
The attention that FRA Group has towards the reduction of the environmental impact is also realized through the use of hybrid vehicles.
Starting in 2022, the company changed the car policy reserved for management, making it mandatory for all executives to choose a hybrid car by the end of 2023.
This policy, aimed at ending all orders for diesel and petrol internal combustion engine vehicles, has already produced results: Currently 80% of the most polluting cars within the FRA Group have been phased out.
Moreover, starting from 2022, the Group began to structure itself for recharging hybrid cars through the installation of a first column.
Migration to cloud computing
Starting from 2021, the Group has started the online migration of its applications, significantly reducing carbon emissions, as the energy use of the structured data centers is negligible if compared to the savings obtained from the disposal of internal servers in the company
The migration of applications to cloud computing allows the exploitation of centralized servers shared among multiple users, gradually eliminating the local corporate servers that produce very high consumption for the company
